Tail lights / Rear lights

Your motorcycle's rear lights automatically work in combination with the headlights, as required by law. At least one tail light is mandatory, though you can install two if you prefer. If you decide to go for two, then be mindful of their placement:

• They should be symmetrical on either side of the center line
• Or stacked one above the other along the center line
• In low visibility or nighttime conditions, your rear light must be red, signaling to drivers behind you that you're moving away from them, not toward them.

Brake lights

Brake lights are usually installed into the tail lights and should light up immediately when you hit the brakes, and turning off when the brakes are released. Proper placement in the center of your bike is essential to ensure other drivers can see when you're slowing down. Smoked rear lights

Thinking about adding smoked tail lights or tinting them yourself? Just make sure they’re road-legal! Legal smoked lights require bright bulbs to be clearly visible to those behind you. Also, remember that tinting more than 50% or painting them any color other than red is not allowed. To ensure maximum brightness, LED bulbs are usually the best choice, as they’re much brighter than halogen bulbs.
